AI applied to real decisions
Intelligence
Applied intelligence held to an engineering bar — governed, evaluated, and useful.
This is one of six engineering families at Martimus. On its own it solves a real, specific problem; combined with the others, it becomes part of one system rather than another tool to manage. Here is the problem it addresses, what we actually build, how the work is done, and where it shows up in real systems.
What business problem does this solve?
The business has data and documents but no way to turn them into decisions — knowledge is buried, matching is manual, and reviews are inconsistent.
What does Martimus actually engineer?
We build governed intelligence: retrieval, classification, matching, and decision support — with deterministic rules doing the work rules do best.
How does it work?
We follow the same method every time — Discover, Model, Engineer, Validate, Deploy, Operate — so the result is a running system, not a prototype. See how we build →
What does it connect to?
We treat integration as a first-class concern: your existing CRM, accounting, databases, portals, and communications become part of one coherent system rather than another island. Integration engineering →

Martimus-built internal system
Commercial Capital Platform
A full deal-to-funding platform: intake, underwriting workflow, a secure document room, and AI-assisted lender matching across a structured lender registry.
Martimus-built internal system
Hybrid Matching Engine
A hybrid engine: deterministic business rules narrow the field, a language model ranks and explains, and edge cases escalate for review.
Martimus-built internal capability
Owned-Hardware AI
A self-hosted inference environment on owned hardware, running open models for code, vision, reasoning, and retrieval.
How is it deployed & operated?
Deployed where it belongs — public cloud, private infrastructure, self-hosted, or hybrid — and then operated: monitored, maintained, and improved, with rollback and recovery in place. Deployment & operations →
Where this shows up
- Automate Document-Heavy Work — People spend hours reading, classifying, extracting, validating, and routing documents.
- Add an Intelligence Layer — You have data and systems but no decision support, retrieval, scoring, or forecasting.
- Build Customer & Partner Digital Operations — Portals, intake, status, communications, and service are manual or nonexistent.
FAQ
Intelligence: questions we get asked.
How is this different from adding a chatbot?
A chatbot is an interface. What we build is a governed capability: retrieval, classification, matching, and decision support, engineered into the workflow where the decision is actually made, with evaluation and boundaries around the output.
How do you keep an AI system from producing wrong answers?
By not asking a model to do work that rules do better. Deterministic logic narrows and constrains the problem, the model handles the judgment step, outputs are evaluated against real cases, and edge cases escalate to a person instead of being guessed at.
Can intelligence features run without sending our data to an AI vendor?
Yes. We run self-hosted inference on owned hardware using open models, so workloads that should not leave your control do not have to.
